STRATEGIC LOCATION
The Boulevard Erbil is located in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which is one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas in the world since 5th millenium BC. This historical background distinguishes Erbil as a city with a planning similar to concentric European cities. Erbil has a system of five ring roads encircling the city and the site is located in between the 100 m and 60 m rings, in a very easily accessible point from Erbil International Airport.
Erbil has a population of almost 1.000.000 citizens and easy access (Erbil International Airport), safety (in comparison with the neighboring cities and activity of international firms are the driving forces for the increase in the population of expatriate residents.
Gulan Road adjacent to the site is the most prime boulevard of the city of Erbil with its vicinity to airport and other prominent complexes in Erbil, while being the most developed part of the city.
This strategic location requires a meticulous design work on the site in order to turn the location of the site into advantage for the compound.
